Canadian Poverty Institute a part of joint submission to the Human Rights Council

The Canadian Poverty Institute joined with 11 Canadian poverty organizations to submit a brief to the Human Rights Council on the Occasion of the 3rd Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of Canada.

The report defines Poverty in Canada and the financial capacity and federal jurisdiction on poverty. In addition, the document reviews the recommendations provided to Canada in its second UPR and Canada's response and active progress to those recommendations. Based on these considerations, the authoring partners provide their recommendations to the Government of Canada.
