National Reading Day: October 17th

How It Works

1. Choose a short book or article related to poverty or social inequality.

2. Register to be part of this year’s “Reading for Change”.

3. Find 5 or more people who will sponsor you to read the book or article. Sponsors can provide any level of monetary support.

4. Read the book or article. National reading day is October 17. Read your book or article on or before October 17th.

5. After reading, share your most important insights / learnings.

  • Report your insights to your sponsors

  • Share on the Reading for Change webpage

  • Post on social media #Reading4Change

6. Follow up with sponsors to forward their donations.
